Entering into its 5th year of exsistence, the Legacy Bronco Band has established a tradition of excellence early on having achieved UIL Sweepstakes every year since its opening in 2007. The Bronco Band was a finalist at the 2008 Arlington BOA regional, a 4A UIL State Marching Band Finalist and TMEA Honor Band finalsit in 2009, and the 4A Grand Champion at the HEB and Birdville marching contests in 2008 and 2009. The Legacy Percussion program won the Percussive Arts Society's Call to Tapes and performed at PASIC in Indianapolis November of 2010.
Legacy currently has 2 UIL performing concert bands, the Varsity Wind Symphony conducted by Mr. Fugett, and the Non-Varsity Wind Ensemble conducted by Mr. Wilson. The Jazz band meets in the spring semester after school at participates in several jazz festivals in the DFW area. The Percussion Ensemble, conducted by Mr. Retschulte, meets both in class and after school in the spring.
